The A.R.K. Philosophy: Paying it Forward

A simple act of kindness can mean so much not just for the people involved but for the world as it teaches us that the greatest gifts in the world cannot be measured or counted. If you do not know what A.R.K. Stands for then let me tell you…Acts of Random Kindness. The best example of this teaching is Pay it Forward where a child helps one person that then continues the chain unknowingly helping many with his one act. In reality many without knowing it commit one of these acts just by giving a smile or look of kindness, giving money or food to a random person on the street, defending a complete stranger, and many more. It is not the act itself, but the intention behind the act that makes it so powerful. This page I hope inspires you to find ways to commit your own act of kindness that will inspire the world to follow in your footsteps.

Your greatness is measured by your kindness; your education and intellect by your modesty; your ignorance is betrayed by your suspicions and prejudices, and your real caliber is measured by the consideration and tolerance you have for others. William J.H. Boetcker (1873-1962)
Religious Leader, Influential Public Speaker

When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace. The 14th Dalai Lama (1935) Head Monk Of The Gelugpa Lineage Of Tibetan Buddhism

Those who make compassion an essential part of their lives find the joy of life. Kindness deepens the spirit and produces rewards that cannot be completely explained in words. It is an experience more powerful than words. To become acquainted with kindness one must be prepared to learn new things and feel new feelings. Kindness is more than a philosophy of the mind. It is a philosophy of the spirit. Robert J. Furey Author

There are realities we all share, regardless of our nationality, language, or individual tastes. As we need food, so do we need emotional nourishment: love, kindness, appreciation, and support from others. We need to understand our environment and our relationship to it. We need to fulfill certain inner hungers: the need for happiness, for peace of mind — for wisdom. Swami Kriyananda [J. Donald Walters] (1926) Author, Founder Of Ananda

Brian Tracy (1944) Motivational Author

I have this theory that if one person can go out of their way to show compassion, then it will start a chain reaction of the same. People will never know how far a little kindness can go. Rachel Joy Scott (1981-1999) Student, First Victim Of The Columbine High School Massacre

I have never met a person whose greatest need was anything other than real, unconditional love. You can find it in a simple act of kindness toward someone who needs help. How lovely to think that no one need wait a moment. We can start now, start slowly, changing the world. How lovely that everyone, great and small, can make a contribution toward introducing justice straightaway. And you can always, always give something, even if it is only kindness! Anne Frank (1929-1945) Diarist

Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you. Diana Spencer (1961-1997) Princess Of Wales

No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves. Amelia Earhart

Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the and the blind can see. Mark Twain

  1. I leave a response when I especially enjoy a post on a site or if I have something to contribute to the discussion. Usually it’s a result of the sincerness communicated in the article I looked at. And on this article The A.R.K. Philosophy: Paying it Forward | Zen Garden Inspiration Gallery. I was actually moved enough to post a thought 😉 I do have a few questions for you if it’s allright. Could it be just me or does it look like some of the comments appear like coming from brain dead folks? 😛 And, if you are writing on other social sites, I would like to follow everything new you have to post. Would you list every one of your shared pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
